Mobile broadband popularity 'set to continue'
The popularity of mobile broadband services has continued to grow as related products have become simpler and cheaper, one expert suggests.
According to a spokesman for Gfk, an international market research organisation, where mobile broadband may have been held back in the past it has become easier to understand and more affordable, Cellular-News reports.
Chantal Brel, senior account manager for the organisation, said mobile broadband services have also become faster and better and that there is further scope for more people to take advantage of this.
"While sales of laptops with integrated 3G are still insignificant
there is still enormous growth potential for the Mobile Modem market for the future," he said.
The site also notes that 90 per cent of the UK now has access to 3G coverage and that this suggests the mobile broadband market is fast approaching its "finest hour".
T Mobile is one company which has announced a number of changes to its mobile broadband offerings - including faster speeds.
